I am so thrilled to announce that my debut novel, The Sound of Storms, will release on October 29, 2024!
Synopsis
Aria, the fae princess of Allar, harbors a deep resentment for the Denover shifters, including Luka—a dragon shifter and the next in line for his mother’s seat on the Denover Legion Council.
But when their volatile god, Mallium, issues a decree on the solstice and reveals a threat to the entire continent, Aria and Luka must decide to put aside their families’ troubled history and work together to save their people.
Unfortunately, they can’t do it on their own. They must rely on their family and friends—including Luka’s second in command and alluring ex, Evelyn—to defeat their common enemy. But no one said they had to get along.
As Aria and Luka navigate their intense and tangled emotions, they must confront their own prejudices, unravel the dark secrets that bind them, and challenge the traditions that keep them apart.
Together, they embark on a perilous quest to unite their fractured realms and bring harmony to their people—or risk meeting an untimely demise.
About the book
This book was born from a desire to read a fantasy romance story that features a diverse cast of characters, including more queer and disabled representation than is typical in this genre (with even more to come in the sequel). Plus, I wanted to see a female main character that was my age (late twenties) and not a teenager!
It features homages to many commonly-loved tropes like enemies-to-lovers, but does so in a with a magic system that (I think) is unique in that it has limits. You might find that it’s a bit of a love letter to one of my favorite magic systems of all time: Avatar the Last Airbender.
I’m currently looking for ARC readers, so if you’d like to be considered, please email me or reach out on social to find out how to receive a copy. Thank you, in advance, for reading!
